Process pipework cleaning
From inspection, through pre-commissioning work to in-service
cleaning programmes and final de-commissioning, the Cape DBI has built

Process pipe commissioning:
- Cape DBI’s pre-commissioning services comprise the removal of mill
scale, debris and flash oxidisation utilising a wide variety of
techniques including high velocity water flushing, the Company’s
highly innovative Aquadril system, chemical cleaning and
dehumidification using air or nitrogen.
- Where de-commissioning is required, Cape DBI provide quick, efficient,
environmentally responsible dismantling of systems at the end of
their working life.

Associated services
- Cape DBI offers hydraulic proving for a wide range of pre-commission
process pipework applications. Testing can be carried out at using
a number of parameters including elevated temperatures; with
mediums containing preservatives; or at ultra-high pressure.
Process pipe surveying
- Inspection of the integrity and cleanliness using Zone 2 approved
CCTV and thermographic surveying technology.

Process pipe maintenance operations
- Decontamination and de-gassification; essential for man entry and
particularly important where flammable or pyrophoric materials are
present.
- Pre-clean inspection using a variety of Zone 2 explosion proof
CCTV equipment.
- Film and residue removal using remote HP water jetting, Aquadril,
chemical cleaning, pigging and safe removal and disposal of
waste.
