Health and Safety Policy
It is the policy of Cape DBI Industrial Services to ensure, so far as is reasonably practicable, the health, safety and
welfare of its employees whilst at work and others who may be affected by its activities.
The Directors retain overall responsibility for the implementation of the policy and will make the necessary
arrangements for its execution through the management structure.
The discharge of these responsibilities will be accorded equal priority with other statutory duties and will be
achied by:
- Providing and maintaining places of work that are safe and without risks to health, with safe access and
egress in emergency situations together with adequate facilities and arrangements for welfare and first aid.
- The provision and maintenance of suitable plant, equipment and materials.
- Adopting safe systems of work to ensure the health and safety of all employees and others who may be
affected by the work activities of the Company.
- Fostering an environment of cooperation and providing effective communication and consultation at all levels
within the Company and with our clients to aid the development and promotion of high standards in health
and safety.
- Providing adequate information, instruction, training, and supervision to ensure that all employees are aware
of their responsibility for health and safety.

Successful safety management and its continuous improvement is essential to creating the best possible
working environment by reducing injuries and ill health and contributing towards the long term benefit and
development of all employees of the company.
Environmental Policy
Cape DBI Industrial Services specialise in Tank and Vessel Cleaning, Sludge Processing and Management,
Remediation and Environmental Services. The Company’s Environmental Management System applies to all
activities undertaken by the business, and is managed from the Paisley Head Office and the Company’s various
operating bases around the UK.
Cape DBI Industrial Services strive for continual improvement and are committed to managing the environmental
impacts of the business, and assisting customers in managing theirs through use of Cape DBI services.
The employees and management of Cape DBI recognise the obligation to protect the environment in which the
company operates. This obligation is reflected in the following commitments:

- Maintaining an externally certified Environmental Management System (ISO 14001), which applies to all
activities managed from our Head Office in Paisley.
- Providing sufficient levels of training to allow employees and contractors to meet their environmental
responsibilities.
- Ensuring environmental performance will meet, and where possible exceed, relevant legal standards and
other requirements to which the organisation subscribes.
- Ensuring our service provision and waste management activities are carried out in such a way so as to
prevent pollution to the environment whilst undertaking standard operations and special projects.
- Setting and reviewing environmental objectives and aspects to ensure continual improvement in
environmental performance.
- Communicating this policy and the wider Group Policy, throughout the company, to those working on behalf
of the company and making them available to the public.
- Working to ensure waste recycling or recovery options are offered to clients wherever possible as an
alternative to disposal.
- Reducing the consumption of energy by sensible energy management of our buildings, equipment and
vehicles.
