Vacumation
Cape DBI Industrial Services’ powerful vacuumation units generate flow rates up to 8000 cubic
metres per hour (4,700 cfm) and offer excellent suction performance characteristics
capable of deep-vacuumation of dense materials, high lift for greater depths and
impressive results over extended distances from the power plant.
Typical uses for Cape DBI vacuumation units include Separators; Dry wells and wet wells;
Soakaways; Digestors; Lagoons; Boilers; Fuel and oil tanks; Septic tanks; and Catch pits
across the full range of industrial, chemical and utility applications.
Once collected, materials can be transported off-site in bulk or batched in bags or skips
on-site using the latest pre-separation hoppers and continuous discharge systems.
The units are suitable for all industrial or municipal applications where a range of wet or
dry hazardous and non- hazardous materials have to be sucked and/or blown in volumes
ranging from a small septic tank up to 2000 tonne silos.

Cape DBI’s range of portable vacuum units:
Super SludgeVac
:
The UK’s LARGEST portable airflow suction unit, Super SludgeVac is
driven by 3000 cfm of air. The massive power allows specialist bulk waste removal over a
horizontal distance of 800m, or up to 140m in vertical applications, shifting as much as 23
tonnes of material per hour*. This impressive unit is ideal for difficult access situations,
wet wells, grit tanks and balancing pond applications.
SludgeVac:
A more compact unit, SludgeVac offers the same wide-ranging advantages
as Super SludgeVac, but is utilised in less demanding situations over ranges of up to
400m at a handling capacity of up to 14 tonnes per hour*.
MiniVac:
These compact, portable units mounted on either a trolley or skip may
be used by a single operator. Powered by compressed air, MiniVacs
offer a large suction capacity without any moving parts, making them
ideal for cleaning tanks, reactors, floors, distillation towers and
machine, pump and boiler rooms. They are suitable for the efficient
removal of a wide range of oils, powders, granulates and liquids.
